Collection Health & Weeding Studio
Drop in the item export from Koha, Evergreen, Polaris or Sierra and see the collection as a map of its shelves, coloured by age, idle time, use and what the weeding criteria flag. Open a section to see every item by age and last checkout, drag the ones to act on into Weed, Replace, Mend, Move or Keep, and print the pick list in shelf order.
1 Collection map
Every section of the collection, sized by how many items it holds and coloured by the measure you choose. Choose a section for its age and use, drag across its scatter to pick items, or open it.

3 Criteria

4 Import
Bring in an item export from your catalogue. It is read in this browser and never uploaded.

Your item export is read in this browser and kept in this browser's storage. It is never uploaded, and it does not go into a backup or your account: those hold your collections' names, criteria and decisions, matched to items by barcode, so importing the export again on another device brings everything back. A file with any patron column in it is refused without being read further.
An item is flagged by the criteria for its part of the collection: the years since its latest copyright and the years since it last went out, or, for an item that never has, since it was added. The figures start from the 2012 CREW manual (Texas State Library and Archives Commission), where it gives a row, and are yours to change. A flag starts a review at the shelf, where the manual's MUSTIE check (misleading, ugly, superseded, trivial, irrelevant, available elsewhere) is made by a person; it is not a decision.
"Well worn" is the most-borrowed share of each part of the collection, at an age you set, as a prompt to check condition. "Use against size" is a section's share of checkouts divided by its share of items.
The example is a fictional branch with invented titles.
